Study Abroad: Paris
During the Summer of 2014 (between Freshman and Sophomore year) I studied for 5 weeks in Paris! I took two studio classes through International Studies Abroad (ISA): "Photography In Paris: Documenting the City of Lights" and "Painting Paris in Plein Air". I was a bit nervous at first, but this experience has had a huge positive impact on my life. I learned so much about art through visiting museums, painting around the city, and photographing the city and its inhabitants. The classes were very hands-on and experience based. I also stayed with a host mom (Denise) and American roommate. Through this experience, I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone and learned more about French culture. I took 3 years of French in high school, and picked up some French while there (though classes were in English). Now that I've been abroad, I keep trying to think of ways to go back!
