I went to high school at Notre Dame Academy, home of the Pandas. My high school was a Catholic and all-girls. Most of us arrived with messy hair and a crooked uniform skirt, obviously having just rolled out of bed. I loved it. The place had a great atmosphere and a wonderful sense of community. My grade especially grew close; I felt as if I could talk to anyone about almost anything.
Throughout my high school career, I took Art 1, Art 2, AP Art, and Graphic Design. All of these classes were taught by the passionate, caring Mr. Eckerle. He was a favorite teacher throughout NDA. Art class was a community in itself. We would always be playing music, talking, and having a great time while expressing ourselves. It didn't matter how good or bad you were at art; Mr. Eckerle stressed that art was made not for a grade but for expression. Some of my best memories and best friendships were formed during those 45 minute or hour periods.
